There is a reason that the mainstream pushed him down. He wrote a book about how the powers that be were trying to kill religion, because people have a natural longing for a higher power. If you kill God, the State becomes the higher power.
He also has a book called Man and his Symbols where we describes how humans have used symbology to represent concepts that can’t fully articulate (or couldn’t articulate yet). In the same line, he wrote a book explaining the Alchemists (who had a society somewhat that claimed to turn base metals into gold). What the alchemists where actually doing was bringing their full selves to consciousness. But they were always secretive in what they talked about and a lot of people spent their whole lives trying to actually turn shit into gold, find the philosopher’s stone and shit like that.

All this stuff is really easy to grasp, however the trick is unraveling the deliberate-confusing mess that has been woven amongst it all.

•"Consciousness"
= encompasses that which the trapped Divine Spark of God is, at any moment, aware of subjectively experiencing,...from the initial moment it becomes trapped/ensouled/ensnared within any dense matter based construct - ie: as a physical living entity.
When a Divine Spark of God-(a Soul)-is initially ensnared as so to "Breathe Life" into any dense matter construct,...it is an inconceivably traumatic experience.
For the Soul, it becomes severely impeded from direct connection from the infinite totality of God,...the Divine Spark is trapped within the materiality matrix and now almost wholly dependant upon its vastly limited-capacities to navigate this horrific perversion.
With the hu-man construct, the Divine Spark is first traumatized-and thus also giving rise to the primary emergence of individuated consciousness-when the fetus initially begins developing,...which is subsequent of attaining the "Breath of Life"-(aka: the trap slammed shut!)
The Divine Spark is what vitalizes each cell comprising a developing fetus so that the cells actually function instead of just being lifeless rotting matter,...failure to abide by the fundamental microcosmic design parameters of cellular forms causes pain for the soul.

Hypothetically, 2 years later, the ensnared Soul has attained degrees of greater consciousness to the point of relative mobility independence and while wandering it's physical environment it notices the hypnotic dancing stuff flickering from glowing stuff inside that strange box thing that the big people put chunks of stuff in, when they open the transparent front section.
Curiosity arises, so the Soul directs it's dense matter construct closer to investigate.
As it does so, it becomes increasingly conscious of a temperature fluctuation association,...yet remains ignorant as to why.
Now directly in front of the strange box thing with dancing stuff in it, the Soul directs it's dense matter construct to make physical contact and immediately suffers severely painful consequences.
It's consciousness increases drastically as a result of this extremely painful-traumatic experience of touching the front panel of an active fireplace,...despite as yet lacking the knowledge of the finer details of these things.
Basically,...for the Divine Spark-Soul ensnared within matter-reality,... everything is painful.
