You can't choke someone out putting a knee to the neck. You have to have pressure from two sides. If that worked we'd have seen it in MMA by now. Someone who can't breathe also can't talk or scream.

It's fucking common sense. And I'm far from a fan of cops.

I hope not. Would be a waste of resources since he is clearly guilty.
You clearly did not watch all of the video of his arrest. The guy OD'd.
...and how can he be guilty of choking the guy if there was no damage to his neck? It's impossible to choke someone to death without causing at least some damage.

He was convicted to appease the mob, which you seem to be a part of.

Yes I did watch all of the video and I see an arrest using excessive force. He doesn’t need to have crushed his neck to have killed him with unreasonable force which you undoubtedly know based on the way you are trying to frame the situation.

He was convicted because he is guilty. Being a cop doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want like that group of jokers that day.

Appeals Judge Peter Reyes wrote for the panel. “When they commit a crime, they must be held accountable just as those individuals that they lawfully apprehend. The law only permits police officers to use reasonable force when effecting a lawful arrest. Chauvin crossed that line here when he used unreasonable force on Floyd.”

That’s the point. If he had gotten the medical care he needed for that overdose he might still be alive today.
The cop did not know he ate it.

He ate it secretly in order to not get busted with it. He also dropped a baggie of the stuff behind his car.

He also asked to lay on the ground and the cops obliged him, as opposed to using force to make him get into the police car.

In retrospect, that was their mistake. Ie: not forcing him into the car and driving him to jail.

That'd only apply if they knew he had eaten the stuff in an attempt to hide it from them.

In a nutshell, Saint George of Fentanyl committed suicide. He knew damn well what that shit was when he ate it. He also had to know that it was waaay too much. He was willing to risk an OD in order to not get busted.

Had the cops known he had done that, they very well might have handled things differently.

Had the cop actually suffocated the guy, there woulda been neck injuries.

If Saint George of Fentanyl really couldn't breathe, he would not have been able to say so. It takes being able to inhale in order to make words on the exhale. The fact he was talking, is evidence that he could in fact breathe.

As it is, the cops got railroaded via mob justice.

Uh no and that’s clearly not how the law works either given his failed appeals and conviction. Once they detained him then his health became their responsibility.

If he said he was struggling to breathe then that’s a clear sign he needed to be examined by a medical professional. GF was in no way a threat of serious physical harm to any of those three officers that day given their overwhelming force / physical superiority which means there is zero reason he should have been on the ground for any length of time.

There is simply no defending any of those law enforcement officers actions that day. They killed a man because they were enjoying their power trip instead of following regulations & common sense.

Let’s be clear, GF was a piece of shit and a felon. That doesn’t mean he deserves to die or be treated differently than someone else would have been in that situation.

They were waiting on EMT's. That's why they didn't just chuck him into the back seat and drive him to jail. In retrospect, they prolly should have done exactly that.

If he said he was struggling to breathe then that’s a clear sign he needed to be examined by a medical professional.
Again, they were waiting on said professionals.

He was a threat until he started OD'ing.

You clearly did not watch all of the video of him from first encounter with the police.
....and I'm not talking about body cam video, as I would think you have watched that.

They did not kill him. Evidence was withheld at their trial.

Well at least you’re able to admit that they should’ve put him in the squad instead of violating his rights with the use of excessive force but no he was certainly no threat of serious physical harm to them. All the video clearly shows that and a jury, prosecutor, as well as several judges agree.

He wasn't treated any differently. Go do what he did, then eat a bag of fentanyl just as the cops show up, but without them seeing you do it. No matter what the cops do, you're gonna OD.

As for him being a POS, we can def agree on that. He shoulda been put out of society's misery when he was doing home invasions for a living.

What excessive force? Instead of forcing him into the car, they obliged him by allowing him to lay down when he asked them to.

Normally, cops would have made him get into the back seat. They handled that POS with kid gloves in order to appease the mob that was staring them down.

The excessive force we all see on camera; putting him on the ground & kneeling on him in part.

There are suspects that ask cops to shoot them when they are drugs. Should cops just oblige them too?
