Not a lawyer but they aren’t compelling them to take it. That would be what the SecDef is doing to our military heroes.

They are merely requiring it for employment. It would be akin to an employee refusing a drug test the company wanted to perform. If these folks are at will employees then they are fucked and if they have a contract I’m sure the language provides for CNN to require whatever “safety” precautions they deem necessary.

It’s pretty shitty but that’s what happens when folks work for these large corporations.

If I were one of these folks I would consider trying to sue for discrimination if someone could prove XiNN wasn’t firing other folks with communicable diseases (such as HIV).

I’m actually pretty surprised we haven’t heard about a case like that yet which leads me to believe there might not be grounds to bring such a case.

Requiring a "vax" (aka gene based therapeutic) is not the same as requiring a drug test. It changes your body's antibody response to coronaviruses forever. A drug test is not even remotely comparable.

Just saw a report on world #s and USA was at right around 49% with both doses. Didn't look at just one dose though. Australia was 16% with 2 but 30% with one. Lot of people may have had a bad reaction to the first shot and just said "fuck it".

I look at it like a lowest common denominator thing.

Let’s use Walmart as an example:

They might want to try to mandate the vaccine. Let’s say they try and 9/10 employees in NY get the vaccine. Replacing 10% of yore work force would be devastating but potentially doable.

However, if 5/10 employees in Iowa are all the more that get the jab then Walmart is fucked.

Same goes with Apple and so many of these other work companies. They’d have to close up shop permanently in over half the country.
