So tomorrow, the Farley fam heads out west. I’m in a wedding in WY this weekend, then on to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, and a couple other places. The wife and I have been to YS and JH before but this is the first time we takin the whole damn fam. Should be interesting, will post updates!

If you’re going to Yellowstone, would highly recommend the hike to Mystic Falls. A friend of mine who was a Ranger out there told me about it. It was an awesome experience, and not a well-traveled trail. Shouldn’t be as crowded as other parts of the park.

We went year before last. Best recommendation I have (if you aren't aware) is get the guided tour phone app. Extremely useful

Its a guided tour phone app. Prob gotta pay like 15 bucks but its so worth it. It uses your cars GPS and tells you what is worth pulling off for. And gives tons of background on every bit of the park as your driving

Does it give the background stories of dumb peoples’ deaths like jumping into a hot spring to save your dog, or backing off the cliff of the little Grand Canyon, or the chinamen that routinely try to get too close to wildlife and get trampled?

My wife and I enjoyed the Rustic Inn. Private cabin, was very nice, that was 11 years ago though.

If you got time head north of the park a bit and drive the Beartooth Pass. Think it’s like an extra 30-40 miles of driving.

Just got back from there 2 weeks ago. Hold on to your butt with traffic. Park says they're running about 140% crowds right now. There's construction around old faithful and the road from Tower Junction to Canyon Village is closed. Plus, retards causing a 10 mile backup to take pics of a Bison 10 feet from the road. If you're staying in Jackson, try to break away to Alpine and check out Melvin Brewing. Bad ass patio, decent food. It's on the Snake River at a point, so you look left, Idaho-Look right, Wyoming. Great spot for an early dinner and the drive from Jackson is great.

Please take lots of pictures and post them. I think a surprise birthday trip my wife has planned for us will be taking us out there and maybe a few other national parks. Yellowstone is definitely on my bucket list. Have a great trip.
