The filibuster means that to pass legislation in the senate you need 60 votes. To remove the filibuster would mean a simple majority is needed. With the current makeup of the senate at 50/50 if everyone voted along party lines then the VP gets to cast the deciding vote, and we all know how that slimy bitch is going to vote.
