Social Anyone ever stayed in a hostel?

Casual chat, hobbies, interests, and community
No, I had to look up WTF that was when that movie came out.

We don't share hotel rooms in the New World. That shit was left in Europe.
Me and a buddy went to the movies and a projector broke. So we went in to the movie Hostel.
I'll never forget them cutting off the toes and fingers. That shit was messed up.

One time in Budapest, I stayed in a hostel where everyone shared travel tips over breakfast, and it was actually fun. The downside? Sharing a room with strangers can be hit or miss, especially if someone decides to party all night while you’re trying to sleep.

That said, as I’ve gotten older, I lean more toward comfort. These days, I’d rather invest in business class flights and better accommodations to make the whole trip feel like more of a treat.

Hostels can be a fantastic option, especially if you're traveling on a budget or looking to meet new people. They’re often social hubs, with shared spaces and events, but the experience can vary depending on the location and type of hostel. If you’re someone who values privacy or extra comfort, splurging on business class flights for your trip can balance out the more minimalist hostel experience—luxury in the air and adventure on the ground! Have you picked a specific destination yet? Some hostels are surprisingly luxurious these days

I stayed at a hotel near melbourne central recently, and it made getting around super easy, especially with the State Library and the shops right there. The rooms were comfy, and having Pretty Boy Bar & Restaurant downstairs was a nice bonus after long days out. Valet parking and the 24-hour reception also came in handy since my schedule was all over the place.
