I've been looking into prolotherapy for treatment of longtime back, buttock, and pelvic pain. I believe my issue is ligament, muscular instead of a bulging disc, etc. I've tried all the usual including shots, physical therapy of all kinds, doctors including spine specialists, orthopedic doctors, chiros, etc. Anyone had any experience with this?

I’ve been reading in to it. Evidently the numerous Achilles surgeries changed my gate, then somehow caused my left leg to be 3/4” shorter than my right which then effected my spine and now have a pinched nerve and fucked up disc at or between L5/S7 in the spine.

So any info you can share would be great. Good post OP.

Here is a link to a place in Knoxville I've been looking into. It describes the process. Basically, they inject a solution into the affected area, joint, ligament, etc. that helps regenerate the ligament or assist your body in healing itself as opposed to steroids, etc. that might treat the pain but not fix the problem.

No, not quite like stem cell therapy. They inject dextrose (a sugar solution) into the area which is supposed to trigger an inflammatory response which promotes the healing process. I don't quite understand how it works, but it's been around for quite awhile.

Does this have anything to do with me and what they attempted on the 2nd surgery? I got so sick and tired of reading the details but evidently pulling out and re-injecting white blood cells in my Achilles area? I will gladly go full South Park if I can run again.

Fuck the religion POV, I want my got damn leg and life back.

I think your talking about PRP. Stands for platelet rich plasma. They centrifuge your blood and inject it into your back. Causes inflammation that promotes healing in an area that does not normally get good blood flow which is now full of PRP.

Prolotherapy is different. Same process, but they inject dextrose instead.

I had this done on my Facet joints. Made a nice improvement. Unfortunately not enough to keep me from a radio frequency ablation later.

I had an ablation done at my L5/S1 joint. It did nothing for me. I'm glad to hear the prolotherapy helped some, however....or did you have the PRP instead?

I had this done last year for my tennis elbow. Two sessions are recommended but one is all I had. It worked for me
