I said in another thread that it might be a Trump supporter trying to distract from the fake elector indictments earlier today in the state.

Russia, China, Iran, and Hamas sympathizers are also possibilities.

Closing all campuses is foolish. As a probing mission it was effective to learn that other campuses, roads and freeways will shut down for one shooter. How do they not think about this when shutting everything down?

Why in Vegas, as opposed to anywhere else?
Long story short, Vegas has a very diverse population, maybe the most diverse in the country. Or at least it was growing up in East LV in the 80s. Democratic party controlled, gun loving, freedom loving etc. Also, there is always a tremendous gathering somewhere in the city, so many opportunities for a mass shooting or mass killing event. It is unlike almost anywhere in the world as far as demographics, politics, entertainment etc. Seems to me would be a recipe.......

But then again, gangs in LasVegas came together in the 80s and 90s to organize against the police. Warring gangs such as Donna's Street and White Fence and 18th Street 28th Street amongst others called a truce in LV for years. Bloods, crips, BG, all worked together against the police. THis was toward the 'end' of public organized crime............getting a bit iff subject.........

I hear you, but you could say the same about most large cities. Phoenix, LA, San Diego, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Philly, Miami, etc. Most have very diverse populations, and large group gatherings as well. The strip is definitely different than a lot of places, but downtown areas of most metro's are pretty densely populated.

And it's not out yet, but I don't think it will show to be gang related.

No, not gang related for sure.....thats why I said I was getting off topic. LV demographics I think are a bit more diverse than the cities you listed. IMO. Not sure there is a Hawaiian neighborhood in New York.

Where about in the city do you live? I lived in the Winchester area, and Green Valley. Please tell me you didnt go to Rancho.

Yeah, LV is definitely a cultural mix, but the Mandalay Bay shooting had nothing to do with that (as far as we know), and I'm guessing this one won't either.

It aint got a fucking thing to do with that. It has to do with a sick individual with a gun, thats that.
We don’t know that for sure. Some of those people are crazy!

The last time there was a big shooting in Vegas it was a Trump supporter.

Can't confirm this, but a local unlv guy just said this:

Shooter was a 67 year old professor who had taught in GA and NC, has a house in Las Vegas not saying at this time what or if any connection to UNLV

I'm trying to verify

Looking more and more like the pissed of Trump supporter theory was accurate.

College poll:

No idea how to make a poll...mods feel free to edit this and add one.

Did anyone ever conceal carry on campus in college?

Someone I know kept a 1911 in their backpack after the VT shooting. He never killed anyone bc his 1911 wasn't an Assault 1911.....

No doubt a lib
It's hard to believe that a professor of that age doesn't have a decent nest egg or retirement account from his previous colleges, and that he would go and do something like this just because he didn't get hired at UNLV.

But I haven't seen any motive other than that at this point. Just doesn't make sense.

Enraged Trump supporter who has been radicalized by all the grievance politics coming out of the GOP and Trump. After the electors were indicted he figured the writing was on the wall so he was going to make others feel the same pain he has been convinced he was feeling.

He probably had pro Russian / communist content on his social media and when the college said he wasn’t employable because it (like the Hamas sympathizers) he wanted to make the “libtards” pay.

The likelihood that he was both a Trump supporter and a college professor is pretty low.

turns out, he is the scum. It's pretty crappy to go and shoot up people just because you don't get a job. It's been said that he had a list of names with him that he was targeting, but he ended up not shooting anyone on his list, but just whatever other teachers he could find. Sad
