The title could have said poop flying down from the sky will make you rich and it would have the same meaning. Do you swallow?

Not sure if you are being facetious or not. But now the fed will be forced to raise rates faster.

More job = more money chasing the same amount of goods = higher prices and higher inflation.
That’s exactly what I said. Obviously the interest rate hikes aren’t bringing down job numbers which was the fear (traditionally).

As long as inflation is above the benchmark they have no excuse to not hike the interest rates like they talked about ending / not doing to achieve their “soft landing” by not hurting the job market.

Will definitely be above the benchmark but I’m actually expecting a small down-tick. I’m thinking around 7.5% YoY

FJB

Yeah 7.5% is still "hot". The Feds stated goal is 2% inflation. So they have a long way to go to bring it down to where they want it.

Think this mornings number increased the chance of a .75 bps increase at september meeting as opposed to a .50 point increase.

Yeah. They gotta keep hiking until we start to see a significant decline.
