50 pounds of ammunition fell

It'll only discharge if the primer falls on my rock hard dick.
  1. Rock Hard Dick: An erect penis - usually because one is sexually aroused by not having an avatar.
My 2 year old nephew got his hand on a brand new primer out of my reloading gear, dropped it and it went 💥. Scared him half to death!

Is there any chance falling ammunition can discharge?
Not usually, but one time after I got home from a gun show I dropped a bag of .45 rounds I had just bought. The corner of one round caught the primer on another round and it went off. Blew the bag apart and I got grazed by some of the casing, but the bullet didn’t really go anywhere because it wasn’t chambered. Basically the round just blew up. Ultimately no big deal, but it scared the crap out of me, as well as my wife who was in the next room. Wife was not happy.

you don't have nearly enough ammo in there for the 7(ish) riffles I see there. Hopefully you have more ammo that isn't pictured.
This is all the ammo I have stored at my house. I typically shoot at my father's house though (we have a 105 yd range out back) and we have thousands of rounds there. Not sure what the state of our quantity is currently, but a couple years back we acquired a literal truckload (full cabin and full bed) full of every ammo imaginable. He also reloads so whatever is hard to get he can reload, assuming the damn primers exist 👀

I have 2 standard long rifles, ak47, ar15 chambered in 223, 9mm carbine, 1911, glock 22, 4 shotguns (one of them is a dinky barrel swap baby 20/410 combo), 50 cal black powder, and I think a few other things I'm missing. I want to grow my collection, but at my stage in life I have other things that are more important, as I have every category checked at least twice. Anything else is just a want at this point, not a need.

Great. But primers don’t go off from being dropped. I’ve dropped a ton of them and never had that happen.

But, I don’t know you so perhaps I’m wrong.
I wasn’t outside when it happened, so maybe he hit it with something? This is really bothering you isn’t it?

That sucks...how did your guns make out? Any scratches or damage? I keep my ammo stacked on the floor in 50 cal cans, for fear of exactly this happening.
To my knowledge they're all good. I had all guns barrel up. And I dont think the shelf fell more than an inch or two. I need to do a close inspection of all guns just to be sure. I'll definitely be rezeroing my deer rifle this year. I do that pretty much every year anyway, but there has been 1 or 2 years over the last 10 that I opted to do nothing because I didn't touch the gun for the 8 months of the year with no hunting
