I can't wait to get in the range soon. I don't care the price of ammo. I'm going to try and dump 100-200 down range and become more familiar before I carry it.

Absolutely do this. It is always a good idea to put at least a few hundred rounds downrange before carrying, to ensure reliability & break everything in. If possible, shoot at least a box or two of hollow points also.

You get a holster for it yet?

You sound like my girlfriend. Last time I checked I wasn't writing your opinions in my to do list. But for your information, I did cut my nails...my girlfriend asked me to hahaha apparently she doesn't want any minor incisions
Is this the first time you've had a girlfriend? I've noticed you love to include that you have a girlfriend in your messages since this finger painter took a liking to you.

Exactly! It needs to be broken in. Also (as much as I hate to admit it) I do a substantially larger amount of rifle shooting, so I need to bring my level of marksmanship back up....I sent 60 downrange on Saturday and felt as though my shots were adequate for the job, but I wasn't happy. Also I would like to familiarize myself with the sight picture I'll be greeted with if I actually need to use it.

I have not picked out a holster yet. I need to figure that out. I've got some time yet, as I won't be able to get to the range for a few weeks. Probably looking at a holster by the end of August... At least I'd hope by then.

That's not true. You have red car syndrome 😂😂😂

Unfortunately I have a lot going on in my life so I can't post as much as I was, so you're probably just noticing a slightly higher percentage of her in my posts... I'm not posting about her THAT MUCH. But anyway, I'm hoping all of this business I have been up to clears soon so I can focus more on other things. I actually haven't even been able to turn my 3d printers on in over a month. My business has been running purely on my massive backlog.

A suggestion on targets for the range….buy the cheapest pack of paper plates you can find and a cheap can of spray paint. Cut a 3” circle in the middle of one plate and use it as a stencil for all of the others. Now you have a shit ton of targets to shoot at. If you can hit those at whatever range, you’re always hitting center mass.

I feel you on the handgun vs rifle thing. I'm the other way around though.

I bet you could print a holster easily, if you could find the file for one. Might not be as easy otherwise lol. I feel like finding the right holster is a pain in the ass. I have tried way more that fell short of expectations than ones I actually like. I do seem to prefer leather to kydex, I've realized.

Belt clip is the best way to CC imo, Ankle holsters take to long to access and IWB holsters are to bulky. I can even tuck my shirt in and you cannot see it unless you look really hard.

I feel like we have discussed this, but those things are so tempting. Think I'm going to order one for my S&W 442 & give it a try. Usually pocket carry in one of these-

I like the belt clip for speed of access. Rests right above my wallet so much faster to pull than in my pocket or my ankle. It's a single quick motion to grab that looks like I'm reaching for my wallet.

Pocket carry has many disadvantages, but I like it because it is easy and comfortable. I always carry, with a pocket gun. IWB, maybe, maybe not...but that clip is indeed alot smaller than even a thin kydex holster. Leather is so comfortable though. Decisions, decisions.

Yeah I would only want to print a holster for fitment purposes. I would never want to use one for actual CC. A high quality holster is VERY important. But I honestly never gave it consideration to printing one for testing purposes..... I might actually try that.

Side Bar: I am currently modeling a fore-end with rails. The fore-end currently on it from factory is designed to allow for an interchangeable .22/20 gauge barrel. Im going to make it so it accepts the same barrels and has room for scopes....lights..etc...it's going to be insane. This is a super cheap gun my father got for me as a child. I havnt shot it in YEARS (it's way too small for me) but you better believe once this is done I will be modding the hell out of it and shooting it lol

I dont want to shit on your decision, but if you actually bought the SAS, what do you plan to do at night time? the sight is quite literally invisible...you CANNOT see it.

I bet that is a pic off the internet & he just got the regular P365...hope so, anyway. The SAS never appealed to me.

I was looking at the p365 also and when I picked the sas up I liked it. I heard someone on the internet say "it's like they tried to solve a problem that didn't exist" but nonetheless I liked it. Never saw anything about the sight problem. The clerk showed me the sight goes invisible in low/no light situations. How does that pass engineering team???

Even if the sight didn't go invisible I probably would never buy it because I feel like it'd be difficult to see my target...

That may have been me, or at least I said something similar in a thread here on the P365 SAS.

The sight is shit on that gun even in daytime, much slower to pickup & less precise than traditional sights. You can argue sights on a carry gun aren't important, but why have lesser sights when there is no need for them. Nobody has problems drawing their gun because the tiny 3 dot sights get hungup coming out of their holster.

Also the slide release on the SAS is hard to get at. Not as bad as my Beretta Pico, but not easy like most carry guns, including the regular P365.
