The latest NFL memo strongly encourages players to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.

If you thought an NFL player not getting his COVID-19 vaccination would put him at a competitive disadvantage, take one look at this league-wide memo of the protocols that will be in place for 2021 when it comes to vaccinated and unvaccinated players.

In its simplest terms, vaccinated players can essentially operate as they would have during the 2019 season. They don't have to wear a mask, social distance or isolate themselves if they are deemed to be high risk after being exposed to the coronavirus. For those who have not gotten or who do not plan on getting the vaccine, it will be a repeat of the '20 season all over again.

It would be a shame if COVID-19 protocols cost a contending team a shot at a Super Bowl berth.

NFL will make life a living hell for unvaccinated players under new protocols

While nobody should have a vaccine forced upon them, you can feel the resentment from players who have done their part starting to manifest towards those who will not take the coronavirus seriously. Nothing is going to fracture a locker room faster than a handful of players who have to enter antiquated COVID-19 protocols because they are not fully vaccinated. They will be judged.

In the years to come after the global pandemic, there will be case studies done on professional and collegiate teams that either met the vaccination threshold and those that did not. While it will not be a perfect correlation, it will certainly be a strong one in favor of those teams that got more of their players vaccinated than those that never exceeded the 85-percent vaccination threshold.

The NFL has laid the groundwork to essentially punish those who have not been vaccinated.

It would be hilarious if population decline were designated a health/ social crisis and the oligarchic started forcing folks to show proof of not being on the pill, or not having an abortion if you lost your child. You still have the right to have an abortion or be on the pill, but not under their employment.

The NFLPA agreed to it. I don't feel bad. Hopefully a name or three retire over it.
Agreed. Hopefully it tanks the product further.
Need the superstars who didn't submit to the injection just start getting "quarantined", and therefore tanking their teams' seasons and therefore making the overall product unwatchable.
Yes. Hopefully it really ruins shit for almost every team or at least the top teams.
I simply don't get this line of thinking. If you are vaccinated and the vaccines work, then wgaf if someone else is not vaccinated.
The NFL views themselves as liable for anyone who catches the China virus while participating in one of their events.

They obviously think folks getting the vax minimizes that liability for them and also aren't concerned with the liability or perception of seeming to peddle the vax.

NFL lawyers are better paid than individual players lawyers.

More stupidity from the NFL. Why I stopped watching them 20+ years ago.
I can look beyond the dumb shit to watch the best of the best at their craft. Couple of F1 rules have pissed me off, but it won’t stop me from watching the best drivers in the world.

Here I was thinking that the NFL didn't want to lose any more money or fans and they go and do this. They have missed the mark on their audience every step of the way over the last decade or so.

They will just open up a China(west Tawain) market like the NBA.

NFL ratings have declined significantly in recent years. Revenue and valuations can't continue to grow and the next round of TV deals won't be near as sweet if the audience and attendance is still cratering. Those SJW morons are painting themselves into the same corner that the NBA has.

At least one NFL player, Cole Beasley, has testicles:

"This is crazy. Did we vote on this?" he tweeted. "I stay in the hotel. We still have meetings. We will all be together. Vaccinated players can go out the hotel and bring covid back in to where I am. So what does it matter if I stay in the hotel now? 100 percent immune with vaccination? No.

"The players association is a joke. Call it something different. It's not for the players. Everyone gives me the 98 percent of people who are vaccinated don't get covid again. The odds of me getting in the NFL and playing for 10 years are lower than that and I'm here."

Comment Section....I SO FUCKING WANT TO PURGE!!!
I guess they already banned all the common sense people because there wasn't 1 rational person in that comment section. It's like they still believe 10% death rates and young healthy people are just as likely to die as 70 yo sick people. I kinda hope that the vaccine does sterilize people. It would solve a lot of our problems.

Vaccination is a choice, much like being a ghey. I can’t change the fact that I’m black.
I think what he’s trying to say, is that we unvaxed are being chastised publicly on the reg.
Not exactly the superstar needed to be speaking out, but its a start

Not the hero we wanted, but the hero we needed!

I’ve thought the same thing!
